One of the most decisive campaigns in history, 1914, Offensive a outrance covers the initial campaigns in France and Belgium in the opening weeks of the First World War. This game covers the campaign from the opening reductions of the Belgian forts, the sweep of the German armies into Belgium and northern France and France's aggressive plans to counter-attack into Alsace-Lorraine and the flank of the German armies. Historically France's recovery from these disasters would result in the German retreat to the Aisne, the Race to the Sea, years of trench warfare, and the ultimate defeat of Germany.
This game uses a simplified version of the award winning 1914 Twilight in the East. This will be a team game with each player commanding one or two armies.
