The 1940 German invasion of France and the Low Countries was one of the great upsets of military history. Mark Simonitch's well-received France '40 covers two of the most significant events of the campagn:

  • Sickle Cut: the crossing of the Meuse River by the first tank army in history and its subsequent breakthrough to the English Channel.

  • Dynamo: the desperate delaying action and the evacuation of the Anglo-French armies from the town of Dunkirk.

This game will be a playtest of a possible scenario that combines the maps from both games, showing the disaster facing the entire Belgian Army and the French First Army Group. Were there alternatives to surrender and a crippling evacuation?

Play is currently scheduled for the first Wednesday nights of October and November. The game system will be taught to new players. A limited number of slots will be open to non-members of the club.
